About this Coffee
Located on the shores of Lake Kivu and surrounded by the thousand hills of Rwanda is the Rugali Coffee Washing Station. Since its establishment in 2016, Rugali has swiftly grown into the biggest and busiest in the community, earning the nickname ‘The Big Daddy’. This renowned station has contributed to both national and international barista competitions, showcasing the finest flavours Rwanda has to offer.
Smallholder farms surround Rugali, delivering ripe cherries during harvest season. This lot from Rugali was selected for its smooth milk chocolate, peach notes and balanced citric acidity.

Tasting Notes
The Golden Ratio
We recommend a ratio of 60g of freshly ground coffee for every litre of water. This is a good place to start, but you can fine-tune your recipe to suit your taste. You'll find some suggested brewing ratios of hot water to ground coffee for you to use below.
